Bold as brass and with the curves of a super model, this is painted from another of my macro photos from the garden last season.  This was one of the largest females that I would see each day.  Her four electric blue bands are brighter than that of her sister species, Amegilla asserta.  This pose of wearing the salvia upper lip like a hat from the 1950s, always made me chuckle.  Her exquisite wing veining is showed in all their glory in this lush representation.
